A scarce original royal flying corps brass tunic button which is dated !
This large service dress tunic button is of domed construction, and unlike standard tunic buttons it is recessed on the reverse with a soldered brass sewing loop in the centre (see photos). Around this loop the button is stamped with the manufacturers name and a 1917 date. We have never seen this type of dated button before. It is in excellent condition.
