RAF escape and evasion hacksaw blade.
There were a number of different types of escape hacksaw blades made and issued by MI9, this being one of them. It is only 2 1/2" in length, making it small enough to be hidden discreetly inside an aircrew RAF battle dress uniform whilst still being efficient. These blades were also hidden inside other items issued to RAF prisoners of war, in games, and sports equipment etc....

The blade is in very good condition and still wrapped in rust proof paper.
