RAF 302 squadron wooden box.
This old wooden box has probably been made by a wartime RAF aircraftsman serving with a Polish Squadron. The mahogony laminated top has been expertly inlaid with a two bladed propellor and the Polish air force symbol. Two small brass hinges are fixed to the rear to open the top lid. A lock is set into the front (key is missing) and the base may have once been felt lined. The base has a split, but this could be repaired. Size 10 x 7 x 2 1/2". The box came with a Polish 302 Squadron plaque from a house clearance.
Due to ongoing issues with European Customs, this item is NOT FOR SALE to the EU.
