Rare, original RAF Bomber Command, Intelligence report for January 28/29th 1945.
This report was sent from RAF Hemswell, Linc's to the Head Quarters 1 group Bomber Command. It is rubber stamped at the top and marked 'Secret'.
The report is Intelligence for a raid that night on Stuttgart, carried out by 16 Lancaster's from 150 Squadron & 16 from 170 Squadron.
It gives details on the day's raid, including combat attacks with German night fighters, artillery/flak defences, aircraft shot down - seven accounted for, route/course taken.
This fascinating 'Secret' report was printed on a teleprinter and torn from it, resulting in different reports being of a different length, this one is 13 inches long, but nearly all are of the same size paper width (8 1/2"). These reports were printed in a very limited number and were then distributed amongst senior officers to gather all intelligence from each operational raid. Very few of these reports have survived.
In a good legible condition, with some creasing and corner folds (see photos).
In need of researching.
