He trained in Anson aircraft at RAF Jurby in the Isle of Man, and passed, gaining his aircrew brevet on 23rd May 1945. Posted to 26 OTU flying Wellington bombers, he crewed up with Pilot F/O Rice. The crew were training until Feb. 1946 when they were posted to 1668 HCU flying Lancaster's. In June 1946 he left F/O Rice crew and was posted to RAF, 7 squadron. Here he flew as Navigator with a number of pilots on Lancasters throughout the later part of the year. On 5th November he flew on operation Frontline, which was over Rotterdam, Essen, Paderborn, Hanover & Amsterdam, back to base. Into 1947, and more flying until April when the log entries finish.
Well written with stamps, inserts and officer signatures, and about a quarter pages full of entries.
