RAF B-type leather flying helmet.
This classic RAF flying helmet is famous for the type worn by fighter pilots during the Battle of Britain.
Air Ministry Ref. No. 22C/65, label stitched inside and stamped into the outer leather (see photos).
The helmet outside chrome leather is in a good 'used' condition, one zip ear covering has a few small marks (see photos).
The Bennett's buckle fastener's are complete and the leather chin strap retains it's metal V end piece.
With zip ear receiver coverings and a pair of rubber cushions inside.
Both ear piece zips work perfectly and both leather pullers are present.
The inside chamois leather is complete, but with some soiling.
This helmet is in a very good 'used' condition.
