RAF b type flying helmet face protectors.
This pair of protectors are unusual, as they are made of leather. They would clip into the newey snap fasteners, on the helmet cheeks, to prevent the wearer from getting injuries in extreme cold conditions, whilst airborne. These protectors also 'doubled up' to provide a fixing for the cloth d type oxygen mask.
In a good original 'used' condition.
