Early flying helmet 'Gosport' tube and ear pieces.
The chrome plated earpieces are usually found in the cloth type flying helmets (see last photo) and are attached to a 'Gosport' hearing tube. This flexible tube connects to a speaking tube assembly fitted inside the aircraft cockpit. This allows communication between pilots when a radio intercom is not fitted.
In an excellent condition.
