RAF silk flying gloves

Wartime pair of RAF silk / rayon, inner flying gloves.

Designed to be worn inside the leather aircrew flying gauntlets, for extra warmth.

Air Ministry stores reference number 22C/263, size 10. These are in a rare un-issued condition, still lightly stitched together, and come in their original waxed paper packaging. Inside both gloves, they have good clear stores reference and quality control stamps (see photos). 

They have very light storage marks, but otherwise in 'pristine' condition.
