RAF pilots seat type parachute harness cushion.
The cushion is made from a khaki coloured heavy canvas. A central slot allows for the harness straps to come through to connect to the parachute quick release box. Six brass eyelets give the cushion ventilation. Four short webbing straps with press studs allow the cushion to clip onto the parachute harness pack.
There is an air ministry reference number 15A/183 and a war dept. arrow. Some quality control stamps can also be found.
Size (approximately) 15 x 13 x 2 1/2".
In a near to 'pristine' condition (see photos).
