Code: 10674
RAF Observer parachute pack complete with parachute, guide lines, metal work and bungees.
Pack label is marked with Air Ministry stores Ref. No. 15A/156 (complete with chute).
The nylon parachute is complete and in a good used condition, and the guide lines are still fixed to the two metal harness attachment rings - which is rarely found. The chute has Air Ministry and Kings crown stamps plus AID, and other reference numbers (see photos).
The parachute is dated 1944.
The pack is in a good complete 'used' condition with it's D-ring and rip cord, brown leather wear strip (indicates wartime made) lift the dot fasteners, plus a full set of very good bungees. The pack looks to have also been re-issued postwar, with some extra markings found around the edge (see photos).
A great display piece and a 'must have' item to be able to complete an Observer parachute harness set.
