RAF course and speed calculator boxed

RAF navigator's course & speed calculator in wooden carrying case.

Stores Ref. No. 6B/125. Made by H.T.A. Ltd. Size, 25x13x3cm.

Used during the early part of WW2, and later superceded by the ICAN.

Metal instrument with a top perspex sliding scale, used for calculating couse & speed when taking in to account for wind speed and drift. In an excellent working condition with additional 'utility' pencil stored in built-in holder.

Comes in wooden transit case. Green baize lined with twin brass clasp lid closure, leather carrying handle.
