RAF 1940 pattern, brown suede flying boots.
These are a pair of RAF 1940 Pattern Flying Boots. Ref No. 22C/438, size, looks to be a 7 or 8. Air Ministry & Kings Crown stamped on the leather tongues and dated 1941, unusally, they also have the makers stamp which is 'Clarks'.
Air Ministry marked Lightning zips, which are in good working order.
The Boot outer brown suede leather is in a good condition and the bottom rubber golosh is also very good, as this looks to have been re-newed.
The soles and heels are original, but have some wear. The Boot inside fur is still clean and odour free but has some parts where it is missing (see photos).
Genuine 40 pattern boots are becoming harder to find.
