An INERT German incendiary bomb.
During WW2 these bombs were dropped by the German Luftwaffe on towns and cities. The UK saw hundreds of these magnesium fire bombs dropped each night during the blitz. Most exploded and burnt fiercly on impact, but some like this one, fell as a dud or were rendered harmless quickly by the civil defence or armed forces.
This one is in a very good condition and has been opened and cleaned out (see photos).
The nose cap has excellent markings and unscrews freely by hand and there seems to be little damage other than a chip on the edge and some slight corrosion in one area on the body (see photos).
The scarce (early brass) impact fuse is present in its component form.
There are markings on the body which are a little feint, and there is some surface rust to the tail fin.
For SALE TO THE UK only, due to postal restrictions.
