RAF escape and evasion fishing kit

RAF escape and evasion / survival fishing kit.

Fishing tackle kit, Air Ministry stores Ref No. 22P/8.

This was part of the kit supplied to aircrew in the event of them parachuting into enemy territory, and to help them to survive.

Found in the scarce acetate aircrew pocket escape and evasion kits. Also found in the 1941 pattern Mae West survival bags, and in the Beadon flying suits (see last two photos).

A hard to find item, in a very good condition.
