RAF Vulcan pilots survival kit.
This personal kit was put together by an RAF Vulcan bomber pilot. Using a wartime dinghy type flare pistol cartridge tin, he replaced the contents with items he thought would be useful in case of an emergency.
Wadding and matches, 2 rabbit snares, needle and thread, rubber water container, safety pins, can opener, pencil, 2 tubes of medical tablets, tin of water sterilising tablets. The kit is of a handy size, which can be easily carried in a flying suit pocket.
An unusual and rare item, bought from an ex RAF airman.
