Wartime RAF pin back 'Tropical' pilots wings.
Superb quality, padded pin-back pilots wings, made of silk thread on a black felt background.
The rear backing material has been carefully stitched over a pin and clasp fixing, which applies to wings that are used with a tropical service tunic or b/d blouse. This is because they can be easily removed when cleaning, and they are also found on some Prestige flying suits.
They have a 5" span, and are in excellent condition.
