Wartime RAF pin back pilots wings.
Superb quality made, padded pilots wings of silk thread on a black felt background. The rear backing material has been carefully stitched over a pin and clasp fixing. This usually applies to wings that are used with a tropical service tunic or b/d blouse, so that they can be easily removed when cleaning, but they are also found on some flying suits and mess dress tunics.
They have a 5" span, and are in excellent condition.
