Original, Rolls Royce Packard Merlin aero engine data plate.
Comes with its original service record cards and modification sheets.
Merlin aero engine, Mark 68, No. V 367696, issued to the RAF May 16th 1945. In October 1947 this engine was modified/converted to a type 68a at the Rolls Royce works, Derby. Further mod's came in 1949 and a major servicing in July 1952 at A.V. Roe & Co. Ltd, Langar, Nottinghamshire. In 1950 this engine was fitted to Avro Lincoln RE307.
Metal plate size, 5 x 3 1/2", the corners have been cut (see photos).
